Join Linda Loomis as she interviews Joe and Virginia Peta, who in 1983 were Liverpool's Distinguished Citizens of the Year. The couple first met in 1933 when Joe's family moved to Liverpool. They married in 1938 and settled in Liverpool raising seven children and starting two local businesses. Joe and Virginia were active in scouting, sports, the volunteer fire department and their churches. They share with us their memories of growing up and attending schools in Liverpool as well as their experiences as volunteers, parents and life-long residents of Liverpool.

Linda Loomis is the co-editor of the Review, Liverpool's community newspaper, and teaches English at Onondaga Community College.
