Join Linda Loomis as she interview Ione Masters. Ione came to Syracuse from Kansas in 1945 to take a broadcasting job with WSYR. She was one of the first women to work in commercial broadcasting and she talks about some of the other people she met, worked with and interviewed during her career. Ione's husband, Oliver James Masters, was the mayor of Liverpool from 1967-1977. Ione recalls some wonderful stories about her life with "Ollie" during his tenure as the village mayor.

Linda Loomis is the co-editor of the Review, Liverpool's community newspaper, and teaches English at Onondaga Community College.
