Join Linda Loomis as she interviews Liverpool resident and former pro basketball player, William Hassett. Bill's career began in 1939 when he was voted the Most Valuable Player at the Glens Falls Invitational Basketball Tournament. He went on to play basketball for both Georgetown and Notre Dame, where he was chosen to be a College All Star. He turned pro in 1946 and was picked to be on the All American Team twice. He ended his pro career in 1951 while playing for the Baltimore Bullets and went on to coach high school basketball in Syracuse. Bill shares with us many stories about his life and his career in sports.

Linda Loomis is the editor of Review, Liverpool's community newspaper, and teaches English at Onondaga Community College.
