Join Linda Loomis as she interviews Betty Gilmore who moved to Liverpool from Oswego when she was six years old. Betty recalls her pioneer ancestors, her family and her marriage to Durrance as well as such activities as church choir, Christian Endeavor, school dances and dates. Betty also talks about her 32 year career with the Liverpool Central School District. She served as secretary to three principals before becoming executive secretary at the high school and when she retired, in 1982, she was secretary/assistant to the superintendent of schools, Jerome F. Melvin.
Linda Loomis is the editor of the Review, Liverpool's community newspaper, and teaches English at Onondaga Community College.
