Join Linda Loomis as she interviews Charles Daucher who was born and raised in Liverpool. Charles grew up on Brow Street overlooking the lake and the old Oswego Canal. He has been very active in his church, the VFW, and the American Legion. He served seven years on the village board and fifteen years with the Volunteer Fire Department. Charles talks about his school days, the canal, First Street, Halloween pranks, his WWII experiences and his 30 years with the Post Office. Charles also remembers when the local VFW Post started the tradition of Santa Claus coming to Johnson Park to meet the village children.
Linda Loomis is the editor of the Review, Liverpool's community newspaper, and teaches English at Onondaga Community College.
