Join Linda Loomis as she talks with Arthur D. Little and Sally Eldred about the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

Art Little was the first Executive Director of the Chamber. When he accepted the position in 1987, the chamber was being run from a desk in the front window of a stationery store. Art worked hard to build up membership and programming, and three years later when Sally Eldred took over as Executive Director, the Chamber office was located in the Gleason Mansion.

Sally's interest in the history and preservation of the Gleason Mansion led her to research adaptive reuse plans for the historic building. She came up with an idea that provided funding for the incubation of new small businesses, and the second floor of the restored building became home to many small business professionals.

Sally continued promoting membership and initiating new programming, and with the help of Kathy Nagle, kept the Chamber growing.

The publication of Liverpool's first Business Directory, the promotion of Business Fairs, and other innovative programs such as Business After Hours, are the result of Art and Sally's leadership.
