Price: $10.00
Join Linda Loomis as she interviews World War II veteran Robert Albro. Robert took a typing class in high school that changed his life. Because of that typing ability and a musical background he was selected for the Army Signal Corps and sent to Fort Mead for training. After graduation he was assigned to the 9th Artillery Battalion, 3rd Infanty Division and shipped out to Africa. Robert saw action in Italy, France and Germany. He talks about what it was like to be a radio operator in a combat zone and shows some captured German artifacts and medals from World War II. Linda Loomis is an English professor at the State University of New York at Oswego.
